When Will I Get Married? The Four Timing Signs in Your Kundli
Marriage timing in Vedic astrology is not a single lucky year. It is four signals lining up: the 7th house promise, Venus or Jupiter, the right dasha, and a Jupiter or Saturn transit. Here is how to read them.

At family dinners, the unmarried cousin is often asked, "So, any news?" Many people privately ask themselves the same question: when will I get married?
Vedic astrology has a method for this. It does not give a single lucky year based on your Sun sign. It looks at four signs in your chart. When three or four agree, events like meeting someone, an engagement or a wedding become likely. When only one is present, it is usually not enough.
1. The 7th house
The 7th house describes partnership. Its sign, its lord, and any planets inside it describe the spouse and the nature of the marriage. A strong, unafflicted 7th lord promises marriage readily. Saturn connected to the 7th often delays it, though usually into a more stable union. Rahu there can describe a partner from a different culture or country, something many diaspora families will recognise.
The D9, or Navamsha, is the divisional chart for marriage and is read alongside the main chart. A planet weak in D1 but strong in D9 often improves after marriage.
2. Venus and Jupiter
Each life area has a significator planet. For marriage, Venus represents the spouse in a man's chart. In a woman's chart, the tradition reads Jupiter for the husband and Mars for attraction. A strong Venus or Jupiter makes marriage easier. A weak or afflicted one can bring delays or doubts.
3. Your dasha
Marriage most often happens in the Mahadasha or Antardasha of a planet connected to the 7th house: its lord, a planet sitting in it, a planet aspecting it, or Venus. The 2nd house (family) and 11th house (fulfilment of desires) also support marriage periods. If your current dasha has nothing to do with these houses, a wedding can still happen, but it usually needs stronger transits to push it.
4. Transits
The classic trigger is Jupiter's transit aspecting or crossing your 7th house or 7th lord, often combined with Saturn touching the same point. This "double transit" is one of the most reliable timing tools in the tradition.
Marriage transits for your Moon sign
From the Moon, Jupiter in Leo is in the 7th for Aquarius, the 5th (romance) for Aries, and in the 11th (wishes fulfilled) for Libra. Jupiter's aspects from Leo fall on Sagittarius, Aquarius and Aries, so these three rashis get the most support for marriage from Jupiter in late 2026 and again from June 2027. Saturn entering Aries in June 2027 aspects Libra, the 7th sign from Aries, so for Aries Moons, commitment may become more serious and practical.
Examples: three readers
Picture Raghav Agarwal, 30, an analyst in Mississauga. His Moon is in Aquarius and he is running a Venus Antardasha. Jupiter in Leo transits his 7th from the Moon from 31 October. Three of the four signals agree. The months to watch are November 2026 and then the second half of 2027.
Devika Menon, 33, a pharmacist in Ottawa, has Saturn in her 7th house. Her family has worried for years. Saturn in the 7th classically delays marriage until after 30 and then gives a stable, mature partner. With a Jupiter dasha starting in 2027, her chart supports marriage from 2027.
Aditi Rao, 27, a UX designer in Perth, has her Moon in Aries. Jupiter in Leo is her 5th house, the house of romance. 2027 may bring the person. The wedding, if it follows, more likely sits in a later window when her 7th house is activated.
Common questions
My birth chart shows a delay. Does that mean I will marry late?
A delay signal usually means "not in your early twenties", not "never" and rarely "very late". Saturn's delays in particular tend to end once the person has reached a certain stability in work or self-understanding. Many readers with Saturn in the 7th describe their eventual marriage as the most settled part of their life.
Can I marry outside a good window?
Yes. Windows describe when events come easily, not the only time they are possible. If you have already met the right person, a sensible muhurat for the ceremony matters more than waiting two years for a perfect transit.
Does it matter that I live abroad?
Your chart stays the same wherever you live. What changes is how events happen: you might meet a partner at university in Leeds rather than through family, or have a court wedding in Toronto followed by a ceremony in Amritsar. Rahu or a strong 12th house often points to this.
What astrology cannot decide for you
A chart can show a window. It cannot choose your partner or make a relationship work. Many people marry happily outside the "ideal" windows, and plenty of perfectly timed weddings need real effort. Use the timing to prepare, not to pressure yourself.
