Shani - The Judge and Karmic Balancer
Saturn (Shani) is the slowest of the classical planets and the primary indicator of karma, limitation, discipline, old age, and longevity. It is a tamasic, masculine planet that strips away what is inessential to leave what is durable.

Saturn in Libra (ruled by Venus) is exalted. Libra's emphasis on fairness, balance, and justice aligns with Saturn's role as the cosmic judge. At 20 degrees Libra the exaltation peaks.
Saturn in Aries (ruled by Mars) is debilitated. Aries' impulsive, assertive, "act first" energy clashes with Saturn's slow, deliberate, cautious nature.
