The free Kundli tool on astropal.app showing the date, time and place of birth form

If you are looking for Vedic astrology online in the UK, a birth chart is a useful place to begin. You do not need to book a consultation just to see your chart. AstroPal's free Kundli tool uses your date, time and place of birth and lets you download the result as a PDF without signing up.

Whether you live in London or elsewhere in the UK, the details you enter should describe your birth, not your current address. That distinction is especially useful if you were born abroad and now live in Britain.

Make your free Kundli at astropal.app.

What is a Kundli?

A Kundli, or Janam Kundli, is a birth chart used in Vedic astrology. It describes planetary placements within a chart built from birth details. AstroPal's tool uses the sidereal zodiac with Lahiri ayanamsa and shows your Lagna, Moon sign, nakshatra, charts, yogas and Dasha information.

These are terms to learn, not labels that decide your future. If you are new to astrology, use AstroPal Academy alongside the chart and begin with one concept at a time.

Living in London does not make London your birthplace

Suppose you were born in Delhi and now live in London. For your birth chart, enter Delhi as your place of birth. If you were born in London and now live in another country, London remains your birthplace.

Current location can matter for a different question, such as finding local daily Panchang timings. It does not replace birthplace in a natal chart. Keeping these two uses of location separate helps avoid a common data-entry mistake.

Gather your birth details first

Before opening the tool, have these details ready:

  • Your date of birth, checked carefully for day and month.
  • Your recorded birth time, including whether it was morning or evening.
  • Your actual birth town or city and country.

Use the best record available to you. If the time is only a family estimate, keep that uncertainty in mind rather than treating the resulting chart as exact.

Birth time matters in this system because the Lagna changes roughly every two hours. A small error can be important near a boundary. Do not choose a precise time just to complete the form if you do not know it.

UK birth times: check the date, not today's clock setting

The UK uses Greenwich Mean Time when the clocks are back and British Summer Time when they are one hour ahead. A birth recorded at 9 am in summer is therefore not the same timezone situation as 9 am in winter.

For a chart, what matters is the local clock time and the rules that applied at the place and date of birth. Do not convert the time using today's UK offset, and do not make an extra conversion unless the calculator specifically asks for one. Check the form's instructions and any displayed result details. If you cannot confirm how a tool handles the time, resolve that before relying on the chart.

GOV.UK explains the UK clock changes. For an older birth date, check the historical rules rather than assuming today's seasonal dates apply unchanged.

How to start on AstroPal

  1. Open the free Kundli tool on astropal.app.
  2. Enter your birth details in the form. Search for the correct birth city rather than selecting your current UK city by habit.
  3. Check the date and time again before selecting "Make my free Kundli".
  4. Read the chart labels and download the PDF if you want to keep a copy for learning.
  5. Choose one unfamiliar term and look it up in AstroPal Academy.

The public tool advertises Lagna, Moon sign, nakshatra and Dasha information. You can begin with those labels without trying to interpret every chart feature at once.

Use the chart for reflection, not certainty

A birth chart can provide a structure for asking questions about habits, relationships and choices. It does not prove that an event will happen, diagnose an illness or tell you which investment to make. Astrology is not scientifically established as a predictive method.

If you explore your chart through AstroPal's AI chat, remember that AI can also make mistakes. Keep your own judgement, real-world information and professional advice in the picture.

Questions UK readers often ask

Can I make a Vedic birth chart while living in the UK?

Yes. You can open AstroPal's web-based Kundli tool from the UK. Your chart inputs should describe your birth, even if you were born in another country.

Is this a face-to-face astrology consultation in London?

No. AstroPal is an online app. Its free chart tool is not a booking for an in-person consultation or a claim that AstroPal has a London office.

Is the Kundli tool free?

The public AstroPal Kundli tool is free, does not require sign-up and offers a PDF download. Other app features may have different limits or paid options; check the current plans.

Can I use Delhi Panchang times in London?

Do not assume they are local London times. AstroPal's public Panchang page is labelled for New Delhi. Location-dependent daily timings need a source calculated for the relevant place and date, not just a city name changed in an article.
