Mahalakshmi is the goddess of abundance, prosperity, beauty and contentment - the form of Sri who fills both the home and the heart. The Mahalakshmi Pooja involves Sri Suktam chanting, abhishek with milk and kumkum, lotus and red flower offerings, and a concluding deepam (lamp) ritual. Best performed on a Friday or during Navratri.
