The short answer

Why AstroPal beats Lagna360.

  • Selectable ayanamsa across Lahiri, Raman, KP and Krishnamurti
  • Swiss Ephemeris positions, published rather than implied
  • 12 vargas from D1 to D30, including the D9 and D10 that decide real questions
  • 11 saved reports and 8 free Academy courses

Where Lagna360 falls short

  • No stated ephemeris, ayanamsa or house system
  • No divisional chart set or dated dasha timeline you can inspect
  • No saved report library and no free structured course

In fairness, what Lagna360 does well

  • Correctly centres the ascendant rather than the sun sign, which most apps get wrong
  • Vocabulary and framing suggest real Jyotisha grounding
  • Clean, focused product without wellness or tarot bolted on

Lagna360 builds its product around the lagna, the ascendant, which is the correct emphasis for Vedic work and a good sign about the team behind it. The framing is genuinely more Jyotisha-literate than most of the AI bracket. The calculation layer is still not published.

The four pillars

AstroPal vs Lagna360, one question at a time.

Accuracy: what actually computes the chart

AstroPal

AstroPal computes every chart with the Swiss Ephemeris in the sidereal zodiac. Lahiri is the default ayanamsa, with Raman, KP and Krishnamurti selectable. Twelve divisional charts from D1 to D30, planetary strength and the full Vimshottari mahadasha and antardasha tree are calculated for every birth, not just the D1.

Lagna360

Getting the lagna emphasis right is a genuinely good sign, and it is worth saying so. But the ascendant is also the single value most sensitive to birth time and to the ayanamsa in use: a few minutes of error or a different ayanamsa can move it into the next sign entirely and change the whole reading. AstroPal publishes exactly this: Swiss Ephemeris computation, Lahiri by default, and Raman, KP or Krishnamurti if your tradition uses one of those.

Price: what it costs when you actually use it

AstroPal

One flat monthly price, and then nothing further. No per-minute meter, no per-report checkout, no charge for a follow-up question. The Kundali, Kundali Milan, Varshphal and baby name reports are free for everyone, PDF export included, and the entire Academy is open without an account.

Lagna360

Comparable ballpark. AstroPal Pro is flat and unlimited, and the free tier is unusually substantial for the category: four complete computed reports, PDF export included, and the whole Academy without an account.

Reports: what you get in writing, and get to keep

AstroPal

Eleven full-length Vedic reports covering career, wealth, health, marriage, relationships, muhurat, numerology and Varshphal. Four are free forever. Every one is saved to your account, reopenable months later, and exports to PDF straight from the browser, with unlimited follow-up questions included.

Lagna360

Lagna360 is a chat-and-view product with no saved report library, so nothing survives the session. AstroPal ships 11 long-form reports, four free forever, saved to your account and exportable to PDF. The Varshphal report in particular takes the lagna framing Lagna360 is built on and extends it into a dated twelve-month chart you can plan against.

Academy: whether anyone will teach you the method

AstroPal

Eight structured courses with ordered modules, lessons and quizzes, free and open without an account. They run from reading a first birth chart through yogas, Saade Sati, the Vimshottari dasha tree, nakshatras and planetary strength, so you can check the reasoning behind any answer rather than trusting it.

Lagna360

Lagna360 publishes no structured teaching, which is a strange gap for a product built on the ascendant. The AstroPal Academy runs 8 free courses including a full treatment of houses from the lagna, planetary strength and the Vimshottari dasha tree. If a product centres the ascendant, it should also teach you to read from it.

The verdict

AstroPal centres the lagna and then shows you the ephemeris, the ayanamsa, the 12 vargas and the dasha dates behind it, which is what makes an ascendant reading checkable. Lagna360 has the right instinct and will not say what computes it. Since a different ayanamsa can move your ascendant into the next sign, that omission is the whole ballgame.

AstroPal vs Lagna360: common questions

Why does the ayanamsa matter so much for the ascendant?

The ayanamsa is the offset between the tropical and sidereal zodiacs, and different traditions use different values. Because the ascendant moves roughly one degree every four minutes, a different ayanamsa or a slightly wrong birth time can push it into the next sign and change the entire reading. AstroPal lets you pick between Lahiri, Raman, KP and Krishnamurti.

Does Lagna360 compute divisional charts?

Not that is publicly documented. AstroPal computes 12 vargas from D1 to D30 on every chart, including the D9 Navamsa and the D10 Dasamsa that marriage and career questions actually depend on.

What do I get in writing?

From AstroPal, 11 full reports, four of them free forever, each saved to your account and exportable to PDF. Lagna360 is a chat-and-view product without a saved report library.
